Why we build this way
Most financial software is written by engineers working from a specification, one step removed from the people who perform the work.
Engineering used to be the scarce input, so firms with the domain knowledge wrote specifications and hired engineers to interpret them. That has changed. What is scarce now is detailed knowledge of how a financial operation runs: which controls matter, which records must stay immutable, and what a regulator asks for and in what format.
Zetmos works the other way round. The people who know the operation specify and build the product, and independent technical review audits the result.
